Multnomah Falls, Oregon
By CRG Video Published: 10/22/2008
Multnomah Falls at exit 33 off of I-84 in Oregon is the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States and sees nearly 2 million visitors per year. This natural giant, standing at over 600 feet, is visible from I-84 and is a welcome site no matter how many times you make a trip through The Gorge.
Directions: From Portland, take I-84 east to exit 33. Only 20 minutes east of Troutdale.
Hiking: The trail that leads up to the foot bridge, Tr#441, continues up the hill to other waterfalls along Multnomah creek and eventually connects to tail #420 which heads west and comes down to Wahkeena Falls, however this is quite a trek so make sure your up for an extended hike if you continue out of the Multnomah drainage.
Kayaking beta: Not here. Further up the creek, but officials strongly discourage it!
