Bridal Veil Falls is a hidden wonder among the giant waterfalls that litter the Oregon cliffs along the Columbia River Gorge. Tucked back, just out of site of I-84, it cascades down a 140 foot two tiered waterfall in classic Pacific Northwest form. Remnants of a long forgotten log flume can be seen in places along the low portion of the creek and even in the waterfall its self.
Directions: From Portland, take I-84 East to exit 28 take a right at the first intersection with the Historic Highway, heading back west, for about 1 mile until you see Bridal Veil Park on the right. Park and proceed past the restrooms on the east side of the parking area. A short and semi steep trail leads down to a bridge crossing Bridal Veil Creek and up to a viewing platform.
Hiking: The short hike mentioned above. Other options: The PCT is only 16 miles east in Cascade Locks.
Kayaking beta: In short, yes, but you need a permit from the forest service.
